What are Turbo Groups?
A Turbo Group is a short term leadership training group designed to help potential leaders discover their leadership abilities and accelerate the start of new small groups.

These exciting groups help emerging leaders learn about Christian leadership firsthand as they lead group discussions on a number of important topics found in the manual, Skills for New Leaders: A Turbo Group Training Program.

What's so unique about a Turbo Group?

Turbo Groups using the manual, Skills for New Leaders are unique in several respects, here are a few of the features:

1. Shared Facilitation - participants share in the leading of group discussions, sharing and prayer.

2. Structured Feedback - participants receive constructive feedback from a veteran leader and other group participants at the end of each group meeting.

3. Team Approach - in Turbo Groups,  participants work together to learn key concepts about leadership and to accomplish the goals of the group.

4. Outreach - in a Turbo Group, participants plan and participate in an outreach event to serve others outside of the group.

5. Homework - using the manual, Skills for New Leaders, participants do a Bible Study lesson  and read about leadership skills individually, then discuss these topics as a group.

6. Focus on Leadership - unlike other small groups that may have a number of areas to focus on, the focus of a Turbo Group is to develop new small group leaders.
